Make Your Own Porcelain Ware

When traveling to Arita/Imari area, try your hand at crafting your own porcelain ware to make the trip a memorable one.

At studios such as Rokuroza, Akaeza, and Shingama Klin, you can experience part of the porcelain ware creation process, such as shaping the clay on the potter's wheel, painting the under glaze decoration onto unglazed pottery, and painting the over glaze decoration onto glost-fired pottery.

In most cases reservations are required in advance, and the fees range from around 1,000 yen to 4,000 yen. Wouldn't it be fun to make your very own cup, plate, or accessory, the only one of its kind in the world?
