Aoshima

Aoshima is a small island surrounded by unique rock formations known as the "Ogre's Washboard." Subtropical plants such as Livistona palms thrive in the island's 1.5 km surroundings, and these Aoshima Subtropical Plant Communities are designated as a Special Natural Monument. Aoshima Shrine, located near the middle of the island, is also an excellent spot to visit.
